We are excited to invite you to York Solutions’ Inaugural CIO Breakfast on Thursday, March 7th from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. The breakfast will be a charity event with all proceeds being donated to Genesys Works, a 501 not-for-profit organization that trains and employs high school students to perform technical services for major corporations. We would love your help to support the wonderful work Genesys Works does for the Chicagoland community and our future leaders.

Keynote Speaker:


Paul Edlund

Currently, Paul is the Chief Technologist for Microsoft’s central regional business. In his role, he focuses on applying Microsoft’s long term Research & Development to their enterprise customers. In addition, he guides customers through Microsoft’s overall cybersecurity strategy. His desire is to help people navigate intersection of business and technology. Paul started with Microsoft in 2007 as a Technology Strategist and more recently, was the Director of Microsoft’s Core Infrastructure business in Microsoft’s Midwest District. Throughout his career, he’s been a passionate advocate for making technology applicable and understandable for everyone. He’s known for his passion, strong technical acumen and thoughtful approach to customer interactions. Prior to joining to Microsoft, Paul was the Chief Technology Officer at Planet Technologies.

At Planet, he guided a team of consultants worldwide. He was responsible for the technical strategy of the company within its US federal government practice and the commercial service provider (CSP) businesses internationally. Paul also co-founded eQuest Technologies which was eventually acquired by Planet Technologies. Paul is a native Chicagoan who lives in the city with his wife and two children. He attended the University of Arizona before returning to Chicago and graduating from Loyola University with a BS in Economics where he currently serves on the Technology Board. He’s also participated on Technology Board for the Chicago Museum of Science & Industry.

He is a Senior Software & Technology executive with global expertise leading technology strategy, large scale cloud delivered software product development and globally distributed delivery teams built to deliver solid business results. He has pioneered disruptive new technology while increasing revenue, lowering costs and transforming performance of technology assets across startups, large enterprises and global technology providers.
