Our Mentorship Programs

Mentor

A mentor provides advice, counseling, and constructive feedback to questions/issues brought forth by the mentee. A mentor listens and offers a mix of encouragement and pragmatic advice, recommends developmental activities, suggests resources, and communicates experiences and challenges.

Mentee

A mentee brings forth questions/issues, listens to the answers and/or advice and is open to the mentor’s suggestions, but is responsible for their own decisions and development. The mentee should drive the relationship.
Our peer-to-peer collaboration program allows people of similar levels to be matched up. Within this type of relationship, the match seeks to discuss common issues, best practices, etc. rather than a traditional mentor-mentee relationship.
Within this program, a senior leader requests to be paired with a millennial in order to understand what makes them tick! This program seeks to create cross-generational understanding within organizations.
With the expansion of Think IT into other cities, we have the wonderful opportunity to make connections for people of similar levels across different markets. For example, are you an IT leader interested in speaking with another IT leader in the retail industry in Chicago? We just might be able to make that happen! If you would like to learn more about this program, please indicate your preference when you apply.
