At York Solutions, we truly value our employees and appreciate all of their hard work. We love to feature the members of the team and let them share their experiences and a little more about themselves with our communities. So, this week we are happy to introduce you to team member, Ted Schwerzler, Manager of Recruiting Services.

1. Can you tell us a little bit about your role?

I work in recruiting with York, focused mainly on one of our larger accounts. I have done a lot of work towards building out a book of business focused around SAP.

2. Where did you go to school?

I graduated from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in marketing.

3. What drew you to York Solutions?

York was a place that I immediately felt comfortable at upon interviewing. The relaxed atmosphere allowed me to feel uplifted and supported while striving towards accomplishing my professional and personal goals.

4. What has been your biggest accomplishment since working here?

I have been fortunate to have accomplished quite a bit since starting with York. Initially hired in a sourcing capacity role, and now being looked at as a senior recruiter; each step along the way has served as an accomplishment pushing me towards the next goal.

5. Why do you like coming to work every day?

York provides a very easy environment to want to be in. While the staffing industry is competitive, the organization developed by York harnesses that competitive spirit and allows each member of the company to drive others forward.

6. Who has influenced you the most, either professionally or personally?

At York, I have the benefit of calling colleagues friends as well. Both Andrew Turner and Andrew Knutson have been integral in my career development and have helped me to grow both personally and professionally. They are both people whom I respect and hold in the highest regard when it comes to our business.

7. How do you spend your time outside of the office?

I’m a huge sports fan, and baseball is definitely my go to. I act as an editor for a Minnesota Twins blog called Puckett’s Pond, and spend a decent amount of time writing. My wife Nicole and I travel quite a bit as well, and experiencing life together has been a blast.
