What’s the Deal with Windows 10? The Hits and Misses

August 18, 2015

On July 29th, Windows 10 launched globally in 190 countries and one of the best parts was that Windows users received the free upgrade from the roll out. But, has Windows 10 delivered substantial updates with this upgrade from Windows 8? Let’s take a look at the reviews by Windows Insiders and provide the scoop!

A review provided by CNET mentioned, “Microsoft hasn’t abandoned that vision of unifyingall manner of devices under a single operating system: Continuum in Windows 10 is the latest attempt to bridge the gap between touch and non-touch devices, and this time it doesn’t force us to relearn how to work with our PCs.”

Windows 10 has some great hits, as well as some misses that still need to be fixed.  According to another review posted on Tech Times, “Two words usually come out when one wants to describe Windows 10: Continuum and Universal.”  Windows 10 is an upgrade and ease of use for Windows 8 users; however, “despite substantial new functionality in Windows 10, Windows 7 users should wait until the upgrade train brings more improvements” according to a review via CIO. Still, Windows 10 is more secure, flexible, and up to date for enterprise customers.

Here are some of the reported hits and misses from the experts.
