Apple vs. The FBI- No Help Needed
Last month we referenced the open letter from Tim Cook on why he stood by his opposing decision to cooperate with the FBI issuing an order to Apple to build a backdoor to the iPhone 5C which was used in the tragic San Bernardino event in December. In case you haven’t heard the most recent headlines, the Justice Department decided to drop the case as they have found their way to unlock the iPhone with help from a third party.

It’s Official: Microsoft’s ‘Holoportation’ Makes Its Debut
We featured Microsoft’s hints around their possible release date for HoloLens augmented reality in our February IT News Roundup blog, and this month the wait is over! Microsoft is putting holograms from live video to practice with the official name: Holoportation. Although the prototype may be early with a few tweaks to be adjusted, it is still incredibly cool what it can do!

There May Be a Robot in the Operating Room
Not to fear, there will still be a need for skilled medical personnel to oversee the surgical robots. Dr. Umamaheswar Duvvuri, Director of Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center introduced the Flex Robotic System surgical robot to perform more than a half dozen throat surgeries over the past month. “It can ‘snake’ its way to any place in the body and it causes less damage to soft tissue” says Duvvuri.
