Program Manager

Position Summary

Accountable for on-time, on-budget portfolio delivery of quality solutions that meet business objectives. Responsible for overall management of multiple projects across various business domains, up to $50M budget and ranging in complexity, scale, and duration. Plans, hires, directs and develops project manager resources and other core project team members. Resolves escalated project, program, portfolio and enterprise issues and risks. Ensures discipline in delivery through structured methodology. Ensures smooth transition from project delivery to steady state operation. As a key technology leader, the Program Manager owns relationship management during project lifecycle, and overall satisfaction of the outcomes. They liaise with business leaders, IT executives, project sponsors, and across internal teams and third parties to deliver against the Portfolio Roadmap.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Program Management – Leads the program planning effort and contributes to the overall portfolio roadmap. Ensures alignment with the IT Service Delivery strategic roadmap, business operational strategies and objectives, enterprise architecture, enterprise security, and related programs. Coordinates with IT Service Delivery peers to maintain the program area roadmap develop supporting project Ideas. Ensures successful project governance. Supports IT and PMO budgeting, forecasting, and monthly accounting. Provides ongoing input to IT policies and practices and drives continual improvement to PMO delivery capabilities. Responsible for resource planning, acquisition, and development.
  • Program Delivery – Provides day-to-day work direction and coaching for project managers. Critiques and validates RFPs, vendor services contracts, license contracts, project plans, estimates, risk plans, and cost benefit analyses. Ensures successful on-time, on-budget completion of all project deliverables. Ensures appropriate financial management of projects including budgeting, forecasting, monthly accounting, and project financial close. Coaches project managers in issue resolution and project health recovery. Serves as escalation point for problem resolution.
  • Technology/Industry Acumen – Keeps abreast of technology, industry and business trends to ensure that appropriate solutions are being considered in the program planning process.
  • Customer Relationship Management – Fosters strong relationships with business customers, IT peers, and project stakeholders. Manages customer expectations, and drives resolution of customer concerns. Ensures customer satisfaction with project execution and outcomes.

Minimum Requirements for Program Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Eight (8) years of experience with program management, including three (3) years or more managing complex, large scale programs
  • PMP Certification or ability to attain
  • Mastery of project planning and business need justification
  • Mastery of SDLC methodologies
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to change and drive structure in ambiguous environments

Minimum Requirements for Sr. Program Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ten (10) years of experience with program and portfolio management, including five (5) years or more managing complex, large scale programs
  • Five (5) years management/supervisory experience relative to portfolio management and delivery
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, proven performance results, customer satisfaction track record, and strong executive presence
  • PMP Certification or ability to attain
  • Mastery of project planning and business need justification
  • Mastery of SDLC methodologies and common industry tools
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to change and drive structure in ambiguous environments

Java Developer

Our direct end client in Ramsey, MN is looking for a contractor for 12 months. This is for a Java developer position.

Must Have:

  • Full-stack development experience
  • Maven 3.x
  • Java 7/Java 8
  • Java EE (Tomcat/Jetty preferred)
  • Spring 4.x/Spring-Boot
  • MySQL/Oracle database experience + able to write SQL and design table structures
  • Front end development experience (HTML, CSS, AJAX, jQuery)
  • Strong XML (schemas, JAX-B, namespaces, parsing, etc.)
  • Web services (REST)
  • Build tools (Jenkins, Bamboo experience)
  • Git/Bitbucket multi-branch team development
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)

  • 10+ years professional experience

Senior UX Designer

York Solutions is currently looking for a Senior UX Designer for a long-term role in Salt Lake City, UT. Below are some key requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling user interface designs for web, mobile, and desktop software products
  • Contribute to the development of user interface design patterns and other leading-edge tools and reusable assets that aid in efficient and effective user experience designs
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional product development teams on UI prototype design and development
  • Conduct remote and in-person user research as needed, including summative usability testing, formative usability testing, contextual inquiry, surveys, and interviews
  • Sets priorities and ensure task completion on multiple concurrent projects

Experience:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience of 5+ years of experience as a designer and usability practitioner
  • Proven ability to deliver research and design work on time while working on multiple projects
  • Experience with web applications required
  • Must have demonstrated experience delivering quality user interface design, including wireframes and specifications

Nice to have:

  • Preference for commercial software experience
  • Healthcare Industry experience desired
  • Experience with Axure and Photoshop preferred
