Data Architect

York Solutions is currently looking for a data architect for a 6-9 month contract-to-hire opportunity in the Minneapolis, MN area.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in data analysis, data profiling, data integration, and data quality
  • Develop standards, process flows and tools that promote and facilitate the mapping of data sources, documenting interfaces and data movement across the enterprise
  • Provide architectural solutions covering data structures, sourcing, integration, security, and retention
  • Experience in tuning data warehouses
  • Extensive experience in creating data warehouses, data marts, and modeling (3NF and dimensional)
  • Data modeling experience creating both dimensional and relational models; ERWIN experience is preferred

Security Architect

Our client in the Minneapolis, MN area is seeking a Security Architect for a 9+ month contract position.

Responsibilities, include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements, researching information security standards, conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments, studying architecture/platform, identifying integration issues, and preparing cost estimates
  • Upgrades security systems by monitoring security environment, identifying security gaps, evaluating and implementing enhancements
  • Prepares system security reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Reviews security patches, obtains patches where needed and applies them to appropriate infrastructure
  • Provides and validates input on firm’s guidelines and policies to the Director of Compliance and Director of Technology Engineering & Operations

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of hands-on experience designing and administering security hardware and software, including firewalls, Nessus, Logrhythm (or other management platform), antivirus and antimalware
  • 5 years of hands-on experience designing and administering a Microsoft network. 3-5 years of infrastructure security focused work. Expert level with Microsoft Back Office Servers (Windows, AD, Exchange, SQL, IIS, ISA, SharePoint), and VMware. Strong knowledge of clustering, high availability, Windows patching solutions, security, NetApp SANs, Cisco routers, switches and Juniper VPN solution.
  • 3-5 years of experience in network design
  • 3-5 years of working knowledge of wireless and mobility solutions
  • Working knowledge of telephony systems
  • Experience with legal specific software highly desirable
  • ISO 27001 Certification

PL/SQL Developer

A growing client located in Naperville, IL is adding a PL/SQL Developer for a 6+ month contract position.
The person in this role will provide technical leadership in a collaborative environment, and should be passionate about staying up to date and increasing their knowledge of Oracle data systems. 

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Oracle architecture including, but not limited to, memory structures, background processes, logical/physical data structures, redo/rollback, and the query optimizer
  • Experience using Oracle PL/SQL to develop procedures, functions, packages, and triggers
  • Experience developing complex SQL/reports
  • Experience with techniques used to tune data structures, SQL statements, and PL/SQL code for optimal performance on Oracle 
  • Experience developing and executing shell scripts or Java programs that interact with an Oracle database
  • Experience developing data models from functional and system requirements, as well as existing data structures
  • Experience creating entity relationship diagrams, data flow diagrams, and related documents
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and methods, and software version control

  • Experience with Quest Software products including Toad and Spotlight
  • Experience with a Data Modeler tool
