Our direct end client in downtown Chicago is looking for a Systems Engineer for a contract (or contract-to-hire) position.The System engineer will handle all implementations, admin, maintenance, upgrades and engineering for the UNIX environment, which is all Linux, Red hat and AWS. SQL DBA
Our direct end client in Silver Springs, Maryland is looking for a SQL DBA – for a 12+ month contract. The position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, access highly available production database systems. Implement best practices to maintain optimal performance and maximum uptime for enterprise MySQL database systems.
Qualifications
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on database administration experience supporting MySQL Databases in production environment using Linux servers with minimal directions
- Sound understanding on installation, configuration, patching, supporting and upgrading MySQL servers
- Strong understanding on MySQL backup & recovery strategies
- Familiar with MySQL Enterprise backup and recovery tools
- Strong understanding on MySQL replication including multi data-center replication for High Availability

UNIX/LINUX Administrator
Our client in the Chicago, IL area is seeking a Unix System Administrator for a 6+ month contract positon. The position will work with a team of Unix System Administrators (SA) located in Chicago and in other locations. The team’s primary responsibility is the support of Unix/Linux servers and services internally and externally for both Commodity Data server and for Commodity Data’s clients. Candidates must possess proficient technical skills around the Linux/UNIX operating system.
