York Solutions’ CEO to Lead Panel Discussion at MACC 2018

Midwest Architecture Community Collaboration (MACC) is an annual conference that brings together hundreds of architects, business, and IT thought leaders from across the Upper Midwest. Throughout the two-day event, attendees exchange ideas and collaborate to address opportunities and challenges in architecture.

MACC 2018, which will take place November 7 and 8 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis, is centered around the theme, “Scaling Disruptive Technologies – Moving from Innovation to Enterprise Transformation.” The conference will feature five tracks and 20 sessions focused on how organizations can use people, process, and technology to drive efforts to become more efficient, flexible, and agile.

As part of the “I Human” track at MACC 2018, which is concerned with people’s role in digital transformation and innovation, York Solutions CEO Richard Walker will lead a panel discussion called, “Are you winning the war on IT talent?”

Hiring and retaining excellent employees is an ongoing challenge for organizations, one that is intensified by the current talent shortage due to low unemployment rates. Walker will lead a discussion about what actions leaders can take to attract and keep the best talent in a competitive environment.

“The IT industry is always changing and always growing,” Walker said. “As the industry continues to grow, it becomes harder and harder for companies to hire because everyone is going after the same pool of talent. Because of this, it’s essential that an organization stands out and acts fast when hiring. Why should a talented professional choose to work for your company when there are dozens of others out there who also want them?”

Walker is excited to lead a meaningful conversation about the importance of investing in employees in order to reach business, technology and operational goals.

“I’m looking forward to attending MACC 2018 and connecting with other leaders who share York Solutions’ vision for the future,” said Walker.
