At York Solutions, we truly value our employees and appreciate all of their hard work. So, this week we are happy to introduce you to team member, Barb Connelly, Manager of Consulting Services…
Can you tell us a little bit about your role?
I am currently working at York as a Manager of Consulting Services. I am mainly dedicated to working on one of our largest accounts in the SAP space.
What drew you to York Solutions?
Truthfully, I was initially not really interested in York Solutions when the opportunity arose. However, after interviewing with both Bill and Amy, I realized that I was drawn to the culture and the people. Obviously, even years later, I feel like I definitely made the right decision!!
Why do you like coming to work every day?
I love the people and the environment. I like the fact that it isn’t a pressure cooker type of environment. Our culture encourages you to want to work and to succeed.
Who has influenced you the most, either professionally or personally?
I would say both professionally and personally, Christi Bahr, who is one of our Director of Consulting Services, has been a great mentor. She always takes the time to communicate with our team and she is always professional. Aside from that, she is also a lot fun and brings a lot of energy to working with her.
How do you spend your time outside of the office?
I am involved in a lot of different activities outside the office. I am very involved with my church. I am also an avid reader and I participate in a book discussion group. Another interest of mine is fitness as I work out every morning with a trainer. And, I absolutely love cooking with my daughter!
