York Solutions Named One of the 2019 Best Places to Work in Chicago

York Solutions is honored to be named one of the 2019 Best Places to Work in Chicago. Crain’s Chicago Business, partnering with independent research firm Best Companies Group, identified the best 100 local companies to work for based on in-depth surveys. The full list will be featured in the April 15 issue of Crain’s Chicago Business and is available online at

A strong company culture has been key to York Solutions’ success, with a focus on professional development and employee engagement. Every employee in the company has access to ongoing learning and growth opportunities through the L.E.A.D Program. The initiative also provides engaging company-wide events and regular training sessions to help team members grow both professionally and personally. Every day, York Solutions’ executive leadership strives to uphold the goal of the company’s founder and Chairman of the Board, Bill Carr, to create a workplace where people enjoy coming to every day.

Best Companies Group managed the Best Places to Work In Chicago survey process, which consisted of two steps that gathered detailed information about each company. The first step involved evaluating each participating company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics, based on the employer’s questionnaire answers (worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation). The second part consisted of in-depth employee surveys to determine the experiences and attitudes of individual employees toward their workplace (worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation).

The combined scores from both steps determined the 100 best companies and the final ranking.

“We are very proud to earn a spot on the 2019 Best Places to Work in Chicago,” said Richard Walker, York Solutions’ CEO. “This recognition reflects the type of company culture we work to build every day. When every member of our team is happy, engaged, and fulfilled, with opportunities to learn and grow, we are accomplishing our mission.”
